The App locally stores the following information on your device:
This data remains exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to external servers unless you explicitly query elevation data from our backend servers.
You have the option to allow or deny location permissions. Enabling location services enhances your experience by displaying your current position on the map and allowing quick access to your elevation information. If location services are disabled, the App remains usable, but with limited functionality.
When querying elevation data for a location on the map, geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) are transmitted to our backend servers hosted in the EU (OVHcloud, France). The current location coordinates are only transmitted if explicitly selected by you within the App.
No other personal or device-specific information is sent alongside these queries.
Requests to our servers are routed through a proxy service, which means your real IP address is never received or logged by our backend servers. Only the proxy's server IP addresses are logged for operational purposes. This architecture ensures that no personal identification is possible from our server logs.
Since your real IP address is never transmitted to our servers, no personally identifiable data is retained. Only proxy server IP addresses appear in our logs, which cannot be linked to individual users.
Our website (Elevato.app) uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics service. Plausible collects anonymous usage data such as page views, device type, browser type, and referral source. No personally identifiable information or cookies are stored by Plausible Analytics.
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash logs and error reports. This helps us identify and fix issues to improve the App's stability and performance. The data collected includes:
